B’nai B’rith Youth Organsation (BBYO)

The B’nai B’rith Youth Organisation is the oldest and largest Jewish Youth Movement in the world. It is an International body with Chapters throughout the United States, Canada, England, Ireland, France, Holland, Germany, Poland, South America, South Africa, Australia and many more.

BBYO is proudly a youth organisation led by the youth themselves. With guidance, advice and support from past leaders, our members take an active role in planning and carrying out the many activities offered by BBYO.

The BBYO chapters are…

  • Dublin
  • Yoni (Nottingham)
  • Birmingham
  • Bournemouth
  • Brighton
  • Hagis (Hampstead Garden Suburb)
  • Deganya (Edgware)
  • Pinner
  • Radlett
  • Masada (Woodside Park)
  • We have many events throughout the year…

  • Our mission is to empower young Jewish people to lead the Jewish People. We pursue this mission by reaching out to them and:

  • Educating them and building a connection with Israel, a sense of kehila and an appreciation of diversity.
  • Giving them the skills, confidence and sense of Jewish and social responsibility so that they will become actively involved in creating a strong Jewish Future and bettering the world.

    Our values are:

  • Pluralism
  • Zionism
  • Peer Leadership
  • Activism

BBYO’s leadership training programme is the best of it’s kind in Britain, helping members develop skills not only for their time in BBYO, but for the lives they will lead in the future. The importance of co-operation, group participation, interpersonal communication and education are emphasised in order to achieve these goals. Members have the opportunity to hold a position, organise programmes and be seen as a youth leader not only in the local community, but on a regional and national level as well.
